Artist Statement: "Keep Awake." (Mark 14:34)
Mary Magdalene returns to the tomb in all four canonical gospels. She is the one who guides us into this place of abiding by torch. Her sojourn with Jesus into the Christ helps us understand and transform our own dark intervals into the dawn of expectation and new life. Quiet meditation and periods of waiting in uncertainty and vulnerability acquaint us with our interior life, and invite the indwelling of the Spirit.
